A CBL customer service representative will contact you to learn more about your data loss situation and to guide you through the recovery process.
Follow the simple instructions to mail in or drop off your device at one of our nationwide partner locations. You’ll receive a tracking number for added peace of mind. Once your device is received by us, your CBL customer service representative will confirm receipt of your media and gather any additional information required by our data recovery engineers.
Your device is then placed in our state of the art data recovery lab for a free evaluation. During this evaluation, a copy of your media is made. As part of our service commitment to you, a workable copy of your media is necessary in order to ensure the integrity of your original data is maintained at all times.

As soon as the evaluation is complete, your customer service representative will contact you with the lab results. If your data is recoverable, we’ll give you a no-commitment flat-quote. If your data is not recoverable, we’ll return your device to you if requested. You only pay for the return shipping.
Our trained engineers will work around the clock in a state of the art data recovery laboratory to recover your data.
Once your data is recovered, it is taken through a strict quality control process to ensure the data is in a usable format. We will provide a file list, where you will be able to see folders and file names and size of the recovered data in a file root structure format.
Your data will be returned to you on the media of your choice. Usually use an external hard disk drive and in some cases, we can send data back via FTP transfer or CBL Cloud Service, allowing you to download data from our servers quickly and securely.
